Simple to operate, robust and affordable multi-source, light booth for basic visual color assessment. Light weight desk-top sized unit, highly useful in comparing color standards to samples, batches to batches, and the same color in different materials. The Datacolor TRU-VUE® 4D is a lightweight unit for visual assessment and comparison of color variations. It is highly useful in comparing color standards to samples, batches to batches and the same color in different materials. Equipped with four light sources, the three most critical sources (daylight, incandescent and commercial fluorescent) can all be dimmed from zero to full brightness. At full brightness, the booth meets the specifications for ASTM D1729-96, for critical color matching applications. For design station applications, where actual samples need to be compared to images on a computer monitor, the Datacolor TRU-VUE® 4D allows each of its main sources to be dimmed to correspond to the brightness level of the monitor. Color temperature of the daylight and commercial fluorescent sources are maintained during dimming within the tolerances specified by ASTM D1729-96. One additional source – UV – is also provided for further product evaluations
The Datacolor TRU-VUE® 4D features Auto Sequencing, allowing a hands free solution to variable source color matching. An hour meter monitors the use of the daylight source, ensuring proper re-lamping schedules and maintaining peak performance. The optically neutral diffusion lens provides an even illumination field throughout the booth, critical for evaluating shade differences.
